Participation of the company Textima in the journey of Federal Minister Dr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier to Central Asia from 29.03. to 01.04.2016.
Federal Minister Dr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier was accompanied by a business delegation on his journey to Central Asia. Managing director of the company Textima Export Import GmbH Ms Heike Hundertmark was one of the members of this delegation that visited Uzbekistan, Kirgizstan and Tadzhikistan.
These countries have important significance for Germany and the company Textima. Due to the fact that cotton is the most important raw material in the natural fibre industry in Central Asia, which is produced here in large quantities, there was and there is a great demand for extension and modernisation in this area.
Already in the recent past, the company Textima contributed to the development of the textile industry participating in a number of reference objects in this region.
The program of the German business delegation was comprehensive and constructive. Among the important moments of the journey were the meeting of Federal Minister Steinmeier with First Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Rustam Azimov as well as further individual talks with members of the Government and business circles.
Ms Hundertmark together with the head of the representative office of Textima in Tashkent Ms Dr. Khasankhanova had constructive talks with Deputy Minister for Light Industry Mr Ilkhom Khaydarov. The focus here was first of all on the high level of development of the light industry in Uzbekistan. Besides already existing spinning mills highly productive weaving and finishing plants are to be set up in the future.
Uzbek partners are especially interested in latest German technologies in this field planning both to place products on the internal market and to export them to Europa.
Numerous important contacts with clients and interested parties have been strengthened and made during this journey that allows Textima, in connection with these markets, to look into the future with optimism.
